My Photos

All photos are my own, unless otherwise stated.  For those of you who think you need a high-powered camera, I did these with a Cannon point and shoot, when I first got away from film and into digital.  Among them are some, which I have turned into graphics in Gimp or Photoshop.  Gimp is free, and I can assure you that for most purposes it is just as good as Photoshop and easier to learn to use (They have a really good manual, which you can download).  I believe that Gimp has made it possible to work with raw photos now as well.

I have a really nice Nikon I bought, but since the car accident I was in, my wrists are not as strong as they were, and I haven't been doing photography.  I'm planning to get a lighter camera, and start doing more photography really soon here.  It is one of my loves, and I miss it.

Truth Or Consequencies

Unfortunately, I think that the problem has to do with education. These days in school, we are so afraid to step on someone's toes, so we avoid teaching morals in school, and why should we? How long are we willing to keep looking at the differences between each other for the sake of disagreement, power and being right, whether it is easy to admit that we are doing that or not? How long are we willing to pretend that things around us are not happening, when they are, because we don't want to admit our fears, vulnerability and recognize that we are not sure what to do about things, so that we can start to face what we need to face as a nation and in the world? How long are we willing to turn away from the interconnectedness between things? How long are we willing to fight the same battles over and over again from one place to the next, while the same money could feed the poor, educate the world and preserve the economy?
